What we know about local school district calendar changes

Over the past couple of weeks, several local school districts have elected to move to 4-day school weeks starting as early as Fall 2023. We recognize that shortened school weeks may have implications for faculty and staff who are parents or guardians of K-12 students.

Baylor is continuing to closely monitor trends among our local school districts, and we are connecting with school district leaders to learn what supplemental programming and resources will be offered in place of a fifth-class day each week. Additionally, Baylor is assessing its current employee resources to determine what additional ways we may be able to support our faculty and staff.
