Grow@BU
Grow@BU Objective
The Grow@BU Professional Development Initiative for staff and faculty seeks to foster a professional learning and development culture and incentivizes voluntary participation through a program of rewards and recognition.
Grow@BU Details
For staff and faculty who seek a comprehensive professional development roadmap, Grow@BU offers a personal, curated, self-paced learning path for professional skills development necessary for high performance and career success.
All professional learning opportunities are eligible to be completed without participation in the Grow@BU Professional Development Initiative. However, those who choose to participate in Grow@BU must complete a total of 8 (1 required, 6 core, and 1 elective) professional skills development sessions selected from the eligible workshops listed below.
Required and Elective Courses
In addition to the required Managing Your Career at Baylor workshop and one elective workshop, participants must also complete two of the three core options in each of the three remaining categories. If all three options are completed in any category, the third will fulfill the elective requirement of the initiative.
Credit will be given for completion of any of the initiative’s eligible workshops back to June 1, 2020. Any workshop may be repeated at the participant’s discretion but if an eligible workshop has previously been completed, it does not have to be retaken to satisfy the Grow@BU requirements.
