Voluntary Supplemental Insurances
Eligible full-time faculty/staff are offered the option of electing a variety of voluntary, supplemental insurance plans. The following plans can be elected directly through the insurance provider by employees for an additional cost/premium.

Individual Accident Insurance
This accident insurance provides the insured with potential cash benefits for certain expenses that may not be fully covered by a major medical insurance plan. Expenses could be related to broken teeth, concussions, ICU, ambulance, and more.
Critical Illness (previously - Individual Cancer/Specified-Disease Insurance)
This cancer/specified-disease insurance provides the insured with certain cash benefits during covered cancer treatments.
Individual Short-Term Disability Insurance
This short-term disability insurance provides the insured with certain benefits for a period of time while insured becomes disabled which results in a loss of income. Insured must provide a physician-documented disability for covered sickness or off-the-job injury.
Individual Specified Health Event (Critical Care) Insurance
This critical care insurance provides the insured with certain help to cover expenses from initial diagnosis through treatment and more robust heart coverage. Covered specified health events could include heart attack, stroke, third-degree burns, and more.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
This accidental death & dismemberment insurance provides an additional benefit where assigned beneficiaries will receive a designated amount from the insurance provider upon the accidental death or dismemberment of the insured person.
Supplemental Term Life Insurance
This supplemental term life insurance provides the insured with additional life insurance where assigned beneficiaries will receive a designated sum of money from the insurance provider upon the death of the insured person.
