Baylor is blessed with exceptional staff members whose unfailing support and selfless contributions provide an invaluable foundation to the Baylor family. The Baylor University staff serves with a dedication to excellence that often goes above and beyond expectations providing service to students, parents, faculty, community members, and each other.
Baylor's reputation for academic and institutional excellence is a reflection of the vast and varied talents of our wonderful faculty and staff. We proudly sponsor the following programs to show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff and to recognize outstanding service.
Annual Milestone Service Recognition
Early Spring, Baylor employees are invited to gather and honor our faculty and staff at the annual service awards celebration. Service awards recognize the recipients' years of loyal service and contributions to the life of the University. Service Recognition is given in five year increments, beginning with year five, and honor anniversary milestones achieved during the preceding calendar year. Recipients receive a recognition email that includes directions to access a digital catalog from which they may select a gift to commemorate the occasion. An honoree can select the traditional Baylor service pin or a gift of their choice. Awardco is now being used to select and order gifts of choice. BaylorPLUS Salutes
Baylor recognizes employees and teams who provide service "above and beyond." Salutes may be submitted by colleagues, students, or parents throughout the year for an individual faculty or staff member or a team of faculty/staff. Any faculty, staff, or team nominated will be recognized through the Human Resources newsletter on a monthly basis. Each Spring, a pool collected from staff submissions will be selected to receive a staff award.

Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night
Each fall, Baylor Faculty, Staff, Contracted Partners and their families are invited to join Baylor HR for a night on the Brazos filled with free food and activities for all ages. A movie is also shown on the field at McLane Stadium! Click here to view the recap video from the 2025 event.
Staff Awards
All faculty and staff are encouraged to thoughtfully consider and submit nominations for those dedicated staff members whose exceptional service furthers the university's mission of integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within a caring community. Staff Award winners receive recognition at the Staff Awards Ceremony, a certificate signed by the University President, and a monetary gift. Awards will be considered for eligible individual and team staff BaylorPLUS Salutes submitted from January 1-December 31 of the previous year.
Student Employment Awards

All supervisors of student employees are encouraged to submit nominations for their dedicated student employees whose exceptional service demonstrates leadership, teamwork skills, excellence in communication, reliability, quality of work and impact within the department along with uniqueness of their contributions. Student Employment Award nominations open every spring and Student Employment Award winners are celebrated by their individual departments during Student Employment Appreciation Week each April. *NOTE: The 2025 Student Employment Awards nomination form is now closed.
