Spiritual Wellbeing for Leaders

silence and solitude

Earlier this semester, President Livingstone shared her goal of enriching the spiritual wellbeing of Baylor faculty and staff. This Spiritual Wellbeing for Leaders selection serves as an additional resource to help those in leadership work toward the same goal for themselves and their teams.

In the September issue of Leading @ BU newsletter, we encouraged you to check out Session 1 of the five-part RightNow Media @ Work series, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry to help you learn and grow in your own spiritual wellbeing. In this issue, we continue the series with Session 2, Silence and Solitude. Feel free to share these resources with your team(s) during a staff meeting or even in one-on-one meetings with direct reports.

Do you or your team members see busyness as a badge of honor? It may seem like we have no choice but to live at a frantic pace, but God has a better path for us.

Pastor and author John Mark Comer walks through why eliminating hurry from our lives is the key to enhancing our spiritual lives. We will explore how to find rest through four practices of Jesus: silence and solitude, sabbath, simplicity, and slowing.

Download the Session 2 study guide and watch the 14-minute video for Session 2 of The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: Silence and Solitude.

Please note: Baylor faculty and staff have access to RightNow Media @ Work. If you have not already, you can set up a free account at www.baylor.edu/hr/RightNowMedia.
