Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night

Earlier this month, Baylor announced that the annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023!  This is a fun and free event for Baylor faculty and staff along with their immediate family members or a guest.  As a manager, you can help set the stage for a great event with the suggestions below.

• Encourage members of your team to attend.  Attending this event is a great way for faculty and staff to kick back, enjoy themselves, and socialize with the Baylor Family.
• Remind your team this event is FREE.  That’s right!  All the food and activities at the event are offered free of charge to Baylor faculty and staff along with their spouse, children, or guest.
• Tell them to bring their Baylor ID. Entry to the event and to receive the employee gift require the Baylor faculty or staff member to present their official Baylor ID.  No exceptions will be made.
• Try to take a team photo.  For those on your team attending the event, ask them to meet at a specific time and place at Touchdown Alley during the event to take a group photo.
• Prepare them for wait times.  With an event this size that has many offerings, there will likely be wait times for certain food and/or activities.  Just like a fair, it’s hard to do everything in one night so it might be worth it to show up at gate open and pick a couple activities or a food truck with the shortest line if they’re looking to maximize their time at the event.
• Make your team aware of limited seating.  Though there will be tables as well as some stone benches, it’s a good idea to bring a blanket for picnic-style just in case.
