Promote Physical Wellbeing

January 25, 2024

Engagement and productivity are two great reasons to encourage employees to focus on their physical wellbeing. One way that employees can be encouraged to focus on their physical wellbeing is through Campus Recreation’s FitPass.

The FitPass is a single-semester pass that gives members access to every group fitness class (more than 60 weekly) offered through Campus Recreation. Cost: $60 for Faculty/Staff (spouses and eligible dependents) and provides access to every class offered including: wildly popular F45, Barre Toning, Bear Cycle (Indoor cycling), Hip Hop Cardio, Power Yoga, Pilates, Restorative Yoga, and Step Aerobics. Each class is 45-minutes and designed to help all fitness levels achieve their goals.

Another way to encourage employees to focus on their physical wellbeing is through the UMR Wellness Activity Center at umr.com. Faculty, staff and spouses who are enrolled in the Baylor medical plan have the opportunity to earn up to $400 annually by completing a few activities.

  • UMR's Clinical Health Risk Assessment = $50
  • Get your Biometric Screening = $50
  • Complete Action Plans = $25 each up to $100 maximum
  • Enroll in a Fitness Program (self-reported) = $50
  • Fitness Program Gym Visits one per quarter up to four visits (self-reported) = $25 per visit to maximum of $100
  • Complete UMR Online Challenges = $100 per challenge to a maximum of $300

These are real dollars that will be loaded onto a reward card that members will receive from UMR. All qualifying activities must be completed by December 31, 2024. Members of the Baylor medical plan can earn their incentives, by logging in to umr.com and from the Wellness Activity Center select Get Started. Or call 800.207.7680.
