HR Announces Grow@BU Professional Development Initiative
What is Grow@BU?
For staff and faculty who seek a comprehensive professional development roadmap, Grow@BU offers a personal, curated, self-paced learning path for professional skills development necessary for high performance and career success. Learning opportunities are classified into three skills categories:
- Communicating with Impact
- Planning & Performing
- Working Well Together
To complete the Grow@BU Initiative, learners must complete eight professional development sessions including the Manage Your Career at Baylor course, two courses each of your choosing from the three skills categories, and one elective.
Additional details and a Grow@BU webpage with the eligible learning opportunities will be shared in the next issue of BU@Work on August 5.
Some of the key benefits of participating in the Grow@BU Professional Development Initiative include:
- Opportunities for self-improvement, expanded knowledge and skills, and enhanced opportunities for future growth
- A unique Grow@BU award to display in your office
- A badge of completion for use on social media
- Recognition in the BU@Work newsletter and to your departmental leadership
- An invitation to the annual Grow@BU luncheon
Completion of the Grow@BU Initiative is voluntary, and staff and faculty are welcome to attend any of the learning and leadership workshops hosted by HR.
