Introducing the Surest Health Plan Option
In addition to the Low Deductible (PPO) and High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) health plan options, Baylor will be offering a new medical plan, Surest, to the benefit package for 2026. This plan utilizes the same network of high-quality UHC providers as our current High Deductible Plan (HDHP) and Low Deductible Plan (PPO). Surest is different from the current plans in that it does not have a deductible or coinsurance. Each service covered by the plan has a predictable and transparent copay. Whether you have a visit to a specialist, the emergency room, or a surgery, the amount you’ll pay is a flat copay up to an annual out-of-pocket maximum.

Surest has a mobile app and website where you can search for health care services before accessing care. The app and website instantly show the actual copay amounts (not estimates) from multiple providers in your area. This allows you to compare costs, find opportunities to save, and choose the best option for your needs.

Educational Webinars
The 2026 Benefits Open Enrollment period will be October 14 – October 28. Prior to open enrollment, Baylor HR will be holding educational webinars so you can learn more about the Surest plan and ask questions. These webinars will be held on October 1 and 7 from 11am – 1pm CST.
We highly encourage attending this webinar prior to enrolling in the Surest Health Plan option.
