Update to Telehealth Costs

July 19, 2021
MDLIVE

In March of 2020, Baylor University temporarily waived all fees associated with telehealth due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning August 1, 2021, all fees associated with telehealth visits will reset to normal benefit cost amounts. This means starting on August 1 and thereafter, if you utilize MDLive telehealth and/or telehealth through any of your providers you will be charged the copays and/or fees associated with that visit.

As a reminder, MDLive offers you and your covered dependents access to virtual healthcare for your non-emergency medical and behavioral health needs, 24/7 from the comfort of your home after you have created an online account. Here is what you need to know:

  • All telehealth visits with MDLive or with your in-network provider are covered at a low copay depending on your medical plan election.
  • MDLive physicians diagnose and treat 50 of the most common conditions, along with providing temporary prescription refills.
  • Speak with a licensed counselor, therapist or psychiatrist for support. You can choose who you want to work with for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and loss or relationship concerns.
  • If concerns for COVID-19 are present during your medical assessment, the MDLive physician will help guide you to the appropriate level of care.
